" Your passage through time and space is not at random. You cannot but be in the right place at the right time." A Course in Miracles W65

Dear reader,

As we welcome the warmth of long summer days we enter the sign of Cancer, symbolic of the family and the 4th house of our birth charts, the area of our life pertaining to our roots, our home and our mother. Our roots are there to support us, to nourish and give us strength to grow. How we were brought up is the key to our purpose in life. Many therapists did not have idyllically happy childhoods -quite the reverse. Its suffering and pain that propels us to find out why, to find answers. So the question this month is:-

What do you feel about your family? Your mother and your father? What is it that they never gave you? Do you still have grievances and complaints?

This is the month to sort these issues out. How are you doing? Are you being nudged or shoved to change? I am here to offer support. The planets message is loud and clear as reflected in the world's events. This is the year of change.

Facing Our Shadow
The Sun is opposite Pluto as the theme of the month until July 22nd new moon when we have a Solar Eclipse. From March until October each new moon aspects Pluto. Pluto rules the underworld. We are being given an important message that we need to look at what we have buried and even repressed deep within our psyches. All the stuff that is being exposed around money and the banks is all Pluto's realm. The reason is that once out in the open it can be healed.

What area of your life are you remaining fixed about and refuse to budge?

We all have blind spots and as the Sun passes through Cancer it illuminates the generation who have Uranus in the sign of Cancer. (This is you if your birth date is between 1948-1956. We were the ones who rebelled against the traditional family set up.  We could well have cut off from our family at an early age due to our mother's illness or being sent away to boarding school. This creates a story of being an Outsider and also an Orphan. It plays out in our life when we feel all alone and lost. This is a trap of the ego to keep us small and it totally blocks our purpose. Chuck Spezzano writes:-

"The Orphan role is a form of sacrifice. It comes about when we lose ourself in an attempt to save the family. When we reach this desperate place we are barely surviving emotionally. We have decided that the best way to help the family is to disappear."

The most vital thing to know is that the shadow blocks a gateway in our mind to our true goodness and to a soul level gift. More on the Orphan Shadow on my website, link below.

The 3 Card Reading will help you see what you have hidden and what holds you back right now. I would love to know what card you pick. I will be working with Shadows and the gifts they hide on my workshop in Brighton on July 18th/19th.

New Moon in Cancer-The Goddess speaks

This New Moon - the day after the Solstice - sets the tone for the summer. Mars joins Venus for a rare encounter in the earth sign of Taurus. Taurus is ruled by Venus so Venus is strong in her own sign. Venus governs love, beauty and money and both trine Saturn- this is excellent for manifesting your desires. Set goals for your summer, what do you really want? Make them believable but aim high. Write them down.

The asteroid Vesta joins the Sun and Moon. Vesta is also known as Hestia and is a fascinating goddess. I looked at The Goddess Report for more information. This is what Brian Clark & Stephanie Johnson write:-

"In ancient Greece the goddess received the highest respect. Veiled and virginal her sanctuaries were places of refuge, asylum and political peace. Vesta is the hearth, a symbol for both the center and the focus of the home as well as the metaphor for family life and the family circle.

She is central to psychic life representing the sacral center, the goddess who honors sacred space and protects holy images. Vesta was the first-born child, the first devoured by Saturn and the last one to be disgorged from his belly. Therefore she represents the beginning and the end, the alpha and the omega, the eternal cycle. Vesta is not a part of the outer rim of the cycle but situated at its center, personifying stillness, discretion, centering and immobility.

By the classical period Hestia was not included as one of the twelve Olympians having been replaced by Dionysus. Hestia (Vesta) and her brother Hades (Pluto) are the only two siblings who remain detached from the Olympian family dramas and feuds.

Their places are internal, interior and introverted. As gods of place, both Hestia and Hades have been re-placed and dis-placed which are potent clues as to what we culturally and psychologically have done with these archetypal energies.

In a modern context this place of Hestia, as a metaphor for the hearth of inner life, has become dis-placed, re-placed by the rush and busyness of the outer world.

When the inner life is sidelined and banished to the fringes of society, anxiety, terror and panic can no longer be constrained in the community. Vesta reflects the need for solace, quiet and retreat into the inner sanctuary of the Self.

As an image of center, Vesta is not personified or remembered by statues or temples but manifests through the sense of peace. She is the central point; the meeting place the fires of the home, the hearth, the Omphalos as the symbol for the center of the Earth."

Take her into your life and create that sacred place in your home and within your soul. Honour her with a candle, a flower. Create  a place where you invoke the goddess. She represents the Priestess within us all.

TIMED AS THE SUN TRINES PLUTO
Weekend Workshop and Coaching August 22nd 23rd London

'Healing Your Birth Story- Heal Your Ancestral and Karmic Patterns

When the Sun trines Pluto something wonderful can happen. The Sun brings Light and illumination to the darkest aspects of our psyches - the Shadow emerges from the dark. Pluto is the unconscious and this workshop brings light and grace to the parts of ourselves that we have kept hidden. Once we reclaim these parts we have more energy and power.

On the June workshop the shadow of the Orphan emerged as a theme. This is the place where we decided to go it alone and separated from our parents emotionally and psychically. It hides the place of Mastery, a place of miracles and true innocence which is our birthright.

Do you remember your sacred promise, your soul purpose? Do you remember that you came to be a shining star? Remember how brilliant and gifted you really are?

Each person gets a process in this playful yet deep workshop designed for a small group of 8.
