Dear reader,
The month begins with a glorious full moon. It is very positive as the Sun joins Jupiter.  Jupiter is the King of the Gods and rules wealth and religion. Jupiter brings joy, faith and hope and is future orientated.

This is the month when Mars moves forward. It has been travelling retrograde through the sign of Leo since December and governs courage, willpower, sexuality, self assertion and direct action. It's how we get our needs met and our drive, our energy. Leo is the sign of the playful creative child. Its also the archetype of The King, so this month marks the time for us to take our place in the centre, to recognise our spiritual truth and inner power.

Listening Within - Incubation Time
If you have found it difficult to get going this year, have lacked direction and energy, don't give up. The time to put your foot on the accelerator is just around the corner. Take advantage of the next three weeks as the Sun and Mercury join Uranus at the new Moon on 15th in Pisces - the water element - to get in touch with your inner voice that whispers quietly to you in your dreams.

Projects need a womb, a period of incubation before they are birthed. This is that time.

THE KEY PHRASE for Pisces is 'I Surrender'. It is represented by goddesses of unconditional love and compassion - Kuan Yin and Mother Mary.

To better understand a sign we need to look at its opposite. Virgo is about discrimination. It's an earth sign and so its important to ground yourself while the Sun is in the sign of Pisces.

Pisces and Neptune naturally govern the 12th house in astrology. This is the womb, the unseen, a place of before incarnation. This place is best explored by symbols and metaphors. It speaks to us through our dreams and meditation. Any planet in the 12th house can remain unconscious, yet once activated can reveal our true soul purpose. It's the source of our creative gifts.

Pisces is the symbol of two fishes, swimming in opposite directions yet linked together. One swims to heaven, the other down to earth. Pisces is the mystic, the dreamer, the poet or the addict, lost at sea. Pisces is ultra sensitive and must learn to channel their creative energy into something tangible using the opposite sign of Virgo - the craftsperson.

Major Turning Point
Mars moves forward through Leo trines the Sun in Aries at the Spring Equinox
This is a powerful alignment of the Sun in Aries and Mars in Leo as they are in each others signs. The chart of the Vernal Equinox is very important. It is used in mundane astrology to forecast the events of the next three months. This is a massive amount of postive strength that can propel us forward into new ventures. Every project from the 20th onward will have a boost of vitality. We haven't seen energy of this magnitude for six months.

New Vision
If you've read Caroline Myss 'Sacred Contracts' or any book on Soul Purpose you'll know that finding your soul purpose tends not to be something that just happens. It's a process of opening, of listening to Divine Guidance.

A wonderful friend sent me a Valentines present of an intuitive 'game' - an interactive experience - by Caroline Myss called Sacred Contacts:The Journey. Caroline Myss asks you to choose the archetypes that you identify with. However there are 78 cards and this can be a daunting task. In my work I prefer to trust The Universe to choose for me.

At an auspicious time on the day when Venus joined Jupiter (February 16th) I invited a good friend to play with me. The cards we drew were extraordinary as they corresponded to the Archetypes in our birth charts. One card was a real surprise and one I would never have chosen. It was The Poet and it was chosen as Jupiter in my 7th house of relationship.

This card summed up the very quality that attracts me to the men I have loved the most. Caroline Myss describes The Poet as one who "finds the essence of beauty and truth not only in epic affairs of humanity, but also in everyday acts and objects." Poetry melts my heart. I might never have seen this pattern by myself!

As a result of this I have devised a new workshop to celebrate the Spring Equinox and I would love you to join me at this most auspicious time.
