This is the time of year when the sun should be shining, school's out and its time for celebration and a holiday. So what's the planetary picture saying?

GOOD NEWS
Jupiter is moving retrograde to make an excellent harmonious alignment to Mars on 26th. Then it forms a similar angle (a trine or flow of energy) to Saturn on September 8th.

Jupiter is the Wheel of Fortune in the tarot and is a planet that represents good luck, abundance and our purpose in the world. Jupiter is in the sign of Capricorn which is ruled by Saturn, the planet of hard work, achievement and commitment. That's why we have an economic recession. We are also being asked to get disciplined and step up into maturity.

BAD NEWS!
However July has seen a difficult conjunction of Mars with Saturn which is why you haven't heard from me for a while as Saturn has been exactly on my Mars!

Saturn delays, slows down and can block energy and Mars is action. I call myself a student of the Universe as I am constantly learning through my personal experience what the planets are showing me.

One 'ahaa' moment came when I really understood how Mars is the call to action, the call to make an intention, a decision, a resolve. If it is blocked then the result is one of reaction which leads to impotency, frustration and anger.

This tarot card the 10 of Swords sums up the test for me. All the chakras are blocked, the figure looks defeated. However, most importantly there is a new dawn on the horizon.

THE WAY THROUGH
It was time for me to commit. In that moment I sat down and let the Universal energy flow through me and came up with the theme of my next workshop this August on 'A Leap of Faith -Taking the Next Step'.

The Credit Crunch is is a testing time for many of us and might be the Shamanic test, a place where we have been crushed and deeply heartbroken in the past. This kind of a test comes when there is a quantum leap just about to happen. In the Psychology of vision model this is when we can leap up into a new place of Vision (as a visionary artist, healer, psychic) or Mastery where we are in the Tao, the flow of life.

The planet that tests us is Saturn. As it travels through the healing sign of Virgo we are asked to let go of control (perfectionism is a Virgo trait) and instead focus our minds into the place of trusting in the Universe, in God, our Higher Mind.

Martha Beck (the acclaimed life coach who writes for Oprah Winfrey) calls this stage a 'Ring of Fire' that we all go through. Her book 'Finding Your North Star' describes how we pass through this stage in our lives into the truth of who we are, our core of peace.

I feel I have come through with renewed vigor and commitment.

Your Soul Intention
The eclipses are the major news for August so I have written at length about them on my website. They will affect you if you have the Sun in Leo or Aquarius and will affect a whole generation of people who have Pluto in Leo (1939-1955) and those who have Uranus in Leo (1955-1962) so millions will feel some effect.

Those who feel it acutely will have a planet at 9 degrees of any sign, so check your chart! This could be a good time for an astrology consultation with Pam as eclipses signify sudden change.

Saturn in Virgo- Spiritual practise
At this time of fear in the world - which is getting stronger by the day- our minds need to be disciplined and trained (the best use of Saturn in Virgo) to constantly return to a place of peace and centredness. This is the place where the answers are.

Virgo represents the daily rituals that can seem boring - like brushing our teeth - but it is the sign opposite to Pisces so it opens the path to the spiritual.

That's why anything we practise on a daily basis- whether it is reading a spiritual book, yoga, exercise, music, meditation - any activity which stills the mind - will keep us in right alignment.

'A Course in Miracles'
If you are on a spiritual path then this is THE source book. Poetic and deeply nourishing it is no easy read but it greatly rewards the effort. Marianne Williamson reads it each day online and this I have found is a truly pleasurable way to be a good student! This lesson is a favourite of mine and begins:-

"I will be still an instant and go Home.
This world you seem to live in is not home to you. And somewhere in your mind you know that this is true. A memory of home keeps haunting you, as if there were a place that called you to return, although you do not recognize the voice, nor what it is the voice reminds you of. Yet still you feel an alien here, from somewhere all unknown. Nothing so definite that you could say with certainty you are an exile here. Just a persistent feeling, sometimes not more than a tiny throb, at other times hardly remembered, actively dismissed, but surely to return to mind again."

Further on in the text:-

"When you are still an instant, when the world recedes from you, when valueless ideas cease to have value in your restless mind, then will you hear His Voice. So poignantly He calls to you that you will not resist Him longer. In that instant He will take you to His home, and you will stay with Him in perfect stillness, silent and at peace, beyond all words, untouched by fear and doubt, sublimely certain that you are at home." A LEAP OF FAITH -TAKING THE NEXT STEP Workshop August 23rd/24th LONDON
My theme for this Workshop is inspired by the crisis that many of us are facing at this time.

I have been facing my demons and the fear of the next step was clearly signaled by my computer freezing on me twice this week, my teleseminar on the subject being almost inaudible - even though I tested it beforehand.

The ego fights hardest when there is a new leap about to take place in our life. This can take the form of an accident, illness or other major problem that totally distracts us.
