Open to the Cosmic Magic - Full Moon and Uranus

The outer planets -which represent the collective unconscious- are once more connected to the vibration of this full moon in Pisces. There is also a strong stellium of planets travelling together at this time. They are Venus, Mercury and Mars.

The outer planet most directly involved wuth the full moon is Uranus. This is the cosmic wild card, The Fool in the tarot. Anything can happen, so astrologers always say "expect the unexpected". It rules accidents and electrical storms, such as Hurricane Ike.

Uranus is the original Creator God and is the higher octave of Mercury the Messenger. Its our intuition, that impulse of genius that comes out of the blue, our highest creative principle. Uranus is a lightening flash which can either a shock or thrill.

ASTROLOGY AND THE BODY
All organs and systems in the body are ruled by certain planets. Uranus rules the hypothalmus. Located in the lower brain at the base of the skull it emits chemical messages. The hypothalamus acts on the pituary gland -ruled by Jupiter and Saturn- which acts on the pineal gland -ruled by Neptune -which in turn acts on the hypothalamus. So there is a triangle - a connection of 3 planets - within our consciousness.

This illustration Minerva (otherwise known as Pallas Athena) comes from a book by David Tansley entitled 'Subtle Body' He writes:-

"The head of Minerva represents wisdom, and shows the dynamic energy fields of the pineal and pituitary glands blending to form the third or spiritual eye. When these fields blend harmoniously, and the forces of the higher and lower natures are coordinated, the corona or halo appears around the head. The tail of the sacred asp touching the medulla draws the fires or energies of the spine into the pituitary body and upwards into the pineal gland. This keeps the psychic forces, which pour through the individual, sublimated to the higher chakras. "

Pallas Athena is an asteroid goddess who is her father's daughter and a brilliant strategist. She rules the creative arts such as weaving and spinning. Like Eve, Athena's feminine legacy is not so easily erased. Both their myths contain the image of the snake, a sacred symbol of their legacy of feminine wisdom, healing and regeneration. NERVES
The hypothalamus is the conductor of the orchestra of the endocrine system. It affects our nervous system. So it is most important to be aware of electrical overload. Both the nervous and parasympathetic systems are governed by Uranus - that's 72,000 nerves in the body!

Any imbalance in these systems determines the level of blood circulation and blood pressure. This in turn affects the heart which is The Sun - our vitality - in our chart. Cumulative stress can result in a stroke and that's why stress is the major enemy to health in western society today.

Symptoms can include tingling in the skin or skin disorders or feeling like a live wire. In the long term the adrenals suffer. If you feel edgy and jumpy then you are most likely a 'Uranian' or are going through a transit of Uranus to your Sun, Moon or Mercury.

CHANGE YOUR BRAIN- Change your life
A book I highly recommend is 'Change Your Brain -Change Your Life' by Daniel G Amen MD. He proves -with brain scans- how overactivity of the deep limbic system (that's where the hypothalamus is) scan result in depression, anxiety, obessiveness, anger and even suicidal feelings. Any transit of Saturn or Uranus to the Moon in your chart could well result in such over activity. He says that Prozac needs to be taken for 2 years to stabilise depression - which is roughly the length of a Saturn transit through one sign.

DETOX and boosting your immune system
With the stressful astrological movements its a very good idea to go on a 3 Day detox. I invested in a Philips HR1861 Pro Aluminium Juicer a year ago and it wonderful to follow Jason Vale's easy recipes for super juices. His book comes free with it. I do walk my talk and after a mystery bug last week that had me laid low, I knew my energy levles were depleted. I now feel revitalised after 3 days of really tasty juicing.

Mercury, the planet of communication will go retrograde on September 24th for 3 weeks.
In western astrology its passing through Libra, so this is an excellent time for Librans to look at their image and revise how they want the world to see them. Mercury is both the style in which we communicate and what we say. Mercury is the only god who can travel into the underworld at will and in this role governs people such as therapists, astrologers and Psychology of Vision trainers who act as guides to the unconscious.

However Mercury is fast moving and can be fickle. Its asset is its adaptability - it makes for an excellent translator or mimic - but it also governs the trickster. During the period from September 24th to 16th October back up data on your computer, check arrangments, be prepared for delays.

PURPOSE and Jupiter
The True Inner Guide - the Inner Coach that has our higher interests at heart is represented in our birth chart by the planet Jupiter. The Sun is our individual purpose and Jupiter governs our purpose in the world. This is Zeus, the King of the Gods, the Sky, the Heavens. Jupiter is currently making a wonderful positive connection to Saturn in earth signs. This is an excellent time to study the mind, to unearth any negative beliefs you have which are holding you back from success. Our thoughts do create our reality.
