Earlier this year there was a stellium, a group of planets (energies) that joined in May/June in the sign of Aquarius which created a theme for the year.

They were Chiron, The North Node of the Moon and Neptune.

The North Node is not a planet but the sign it travels through is where the bi-annual eclipses take place. Eclipses create turbulence and change.

The North Node travels backward through the zodiac and changes sign every eighteen months. From 8th January 2008 until 7th June 2009 Aquarians and Leos (the opposite sign) will, at some time, feel this turbulent effect. Call it the storm of change. Anyone with a planet in either sign will be affected, see below.

Chiron is the Shaman, the Wounded Healer Archetype. Chiron in the sign of Aquarius is according to Martin Lass:

"The core wound of feeling like an alien or outsider- of feeling isolated, cut-off, abandoned, separate, alone, distant, and removed from the rest of Humanity. Feeling as though home is very far away. Feeling different from others, as though there is something wrong with us. Feeling like a stranger in a strange land. The inability to see our place in the world. Feeling separate from the collective consciousness. Feeling exiled from society.

The Search:
The search for connectedness, contact, belongingness, and grounding. The search for one’s place in the larger picture--in society, in the global community, and in the cosmos.

The Wound’s Expression:
The feeling of utter aloneness and yet, paradoxically, the tendency to seek solitude. Feeling like an outsider in social circumstances. Feeling alone in a crowd. Tendency to stand apart from others, yet seeking to be amongst others. Paradoxically, the feeling of relief when finally truly alone. The tendency toward seeking contact with higher consciousness-i.e. seeking a more objective view, a broader perspective, a more universal paradigm. Trying to put the pieces together into a bigger picture.

Tendency toward being deliberately obtuse, contrary, reactionary, eccentric, and so forth, in order to put distance between others and us. Tendency toward secretly or overtly lauding our ‘differentness’ from others as a kind of mark of superiority, all the while feeling inferior inside." This year is vital to join a group, to team up, to find associates and like minded people who share your vision. It's vital to heal our soul wounds, to pass our Shamanic test.

Neptune wants healing, and Oneness. It's time to awaken from our separation stories and to join with others at the highest level. Time to share our Vision for the future.

Aquarius offers the gift of perspective and of reconnecting with the universe and Humanity. That's why it is said to govern astronomers and astrologers who both study the Heavens. This transforms the isolation into a gift of aloneness in which we are in silent communion with the universe.

The tarot card The Star is associated with Aquarius and in the Osho Zen tarot card (pictured right) of The Star is called Silence. This is a place of deep meditation where the silence brings peace and understanding. Aquarius is an air sign (mental) and it is a fixed sign. That's the reactionary, the rebel part of us. So the mind needs to change, the attitudes we have based on past encounters and past experiences need to be washed clean of any negativity.

Allow your mind to be altered and redirected towards unity, toward love, back to the centre which is our heart, the sign of Leo.

This takes courage as the ego will stop us joining. Ask for help. Ask for The Holy Spirit, The Divine Mother, the guidance that lies within to direct your path. Taking a workshop will also help as it brings connection with your soul group.
