May/June
2008 Gemini: What message are you hearing?
What message are you sending out?
We are now in the astrological month of Gemini ruled by Mercury,
the Messenger. We've been going through a roller coaster
of a month in May as so many planets changed direction.
Saturn went forward on May 3rd
just before the New Moon. It now passing for the third
time over the early degrees of Virgo. This is where it
was last September/October/November 2007.
May 9th Jupiter retrograde until September 8th
May 26th Mercury retrograde at 16.48 BST until
June 20th
May 26th Neptune retrograde at 17.16 BST until
November 2nd
June 27th Uranus retrograde in Pisces until 28th
November
MERCURY RETROGRADE IN
GEMINI
Retrograde means turning backward
and all the words that have 're' apply to this process. It's
a time of revision, renewing, reworking, reflection. I liken
it to a car driving along a road then stopping, reversing and
then stopping again. As we reverse we need to look back. We travel
over the same piece of road 3 times so on the final pass we know
it well. We've seen things we might not have seen the first time
as we travelled so fast. This especially applies to Mercury,
the messenger planet. So back up your computer, check all travel
arrangements and keep patient as delays are very likely
during this period.
RECONNECTING HEART AND
MIND
Chiron, Neptune, North
Node and the Leo/Aquarius Polarity
Notice
that Mercury and Neptune both go retrograde within 28 minutes
of each other. They are connected with a trine, a flow of energy.
Chiron (the Wounded Healer) is travelling alongside Neptune all
year in the sign of Aquarius. This is rare, especially since
this month Rahu, the North Node of the Moon is with them.
This creates an opportunity to heal any wounds we have about
being 'The Outsider', that we are separate. Its time to heal
our heartbreaks and open our hearts to love anew.
This is a good time
to do a workshop or find a group that focuses on healing/spirituality.
This is especially important time for those with planets in Leo/Aquarius
- and that's a whole lot of us! Find out more with my article Leo/Aquarius:
Reconnecting the heart and the mind>
Chuck Spezzano describes this month:
"There is a great power in this time period—we can
change our fate. Our fate is dictated by our soul patterns, are
unconscious directives coming from ancestral and karmic patterns
in our minds. The power of the month of May is that we can change
our fates personally and collectively." Read

SPIRITUAL MESSAGE- TRAVELLING LIGHT
As Mercury travels backward through
Gemini and Saturn is in Virgo the
spiritual message we are being asked to perceive these next two
months is to sort ourselves out and travel lightly.
How full to bursting are your wardrobes,
your drawers, your shelves? Are they a mess? Do
they contain stuff you know you need to throw away but not quite
yet? That stuff, that mess represents your past.
We all need to clear
out our excess baggage that's weighing
us down. Unless we do this we won't be able to take off spiritually.
To
move forward we are being asked to move upward, to get lighter.
To be free we need to let go of all the past
(as represented by Saturn). Interesting that
the airlines are soon to charge us extra for our baggage!
Any grievance
you are still holding against another, any place where you know
you acted badly creates dis-ease in your life. On a workshop
I went on last Friday, Marianne Williamson, renowned teacher
of 'A Course in Miracles' asked us to name 3 such places.
A sin is just a mistake. In archery terms
'sin' means missing the mark. Every unforgiving thought obstructs
us, and gets in the way of the miracle - the new consciousness
that is emerging on the planet.
At those times when we -or another- acted badly
we were off our centre. If we keep harbouring angry thoughts
or attack on another we are still off our centre and stuck in
the past. So to forgive another is to clear up the past and set
ourselves free.
Marianne Williamson has just published a new
book called 'Age of Miracles' and you can hear her on Oprah Radio.
THE CREDIT CRUNCH-DEVELOP
NEW HABITS
First the good news. Saturn is making a positive connection to
Pluto for the next month. We can survive this recession. But
we need to learn the lessons Saturn wants to teach. Saturn
is the planet most people dread. However it's the planet that
represents the backbone in our body, structures in our lives,
and the mountains of the world. It endures. Its tough. Its
all about perseverance, not giving up when the temptation is
to do just that.
Think of this time as
if the tide has gone out and we are now faced with looking
at what has been hidden. The
time has come to sort out our 'stuff'. We need to balance the
inflation that Pluto in Sagittarius has given us (via the huge
amount of loans that have been handed out) with the old fashioned
values of the past as represented by the sign of Capricorn.
This starts with a return to conservation. At
last we are waking up to recognising that this world can't take
much more of our waste. Ecology is now urgent rather than a mere
fad. Recycling and repairing are now urgent. I have come across
a local company called Nigel's
Eco Store. Take a look at it for some
great ways to save energy.
To reach the top of a mountain we need to be
prepared, well trained and have experience and knowledge of the
terrain. The foundation of our life needs to be built on stone,
not sand.
In Vedic Astrology Saturn is tamas which means
slow and lethargic. The biggest problem in business is procrastination
according to expert Napoleon Hill (in his book Think and
Grow Rich). If you plagued with this then recognise that
this is a habit.
The good news is that according to an article
in the 'New York Times' habits are not something we need to change,
rather we need to develop new habits and pathways in the brain.
"Rather than dismissing ourselves as unchangeable
creatures of habit, we can instead direct our own change by
consciously developing new habits. In fact, the more new things
we try — the more we step outside our comfort zone — the
more inherently creative we become, both in the workplace and
in our personal lives." Full

VOCATION
REPORT
"You
work that you may keep pace with the earth and the soul of
the earth. When you work you are a flute through whose heart
the whispering of the hours turns to music. Work is love
made visible" Kahil
Kibran
These are words from the 'Vocation report'
which I am offering at a Special Pre-order price of £17

seen that covers Soul Purpose as shown by the Nodes of the
Moon with the classic indications of money, work and vocation
as shown by the 2nd, 6th and 10th houses in the chart. Its
valuable information to digest and absorb and the author writes
from a spiritual perspective. See the order page on my website.
RECLAIM YOUR POWER AND PASSION
How we value ourselves
is what we think we are worth. Self worth is all important. Lack
of self worth is where the ego gets us.
If your life isn't abundant, happy and successful
then you most probably have a negative story that is secretly
sabotaging you.
When
did you lose confidence in your self? Who was with you? If you
were put down and humiliated as a child then the person who did
that was most probably fearful or had had the same experience
when they were your age. Its time to let go of the past, to recognise
the dark stories we might be unconsciously telling in our lives.
Read my article on Taking
Your Place > which explains why we are fearful
of shining.
On this theme 'Reclaim
your Power- Heal Your Dark Story >' is the title
of a workshop I am facilitating next weekend May31st/June 1st
in Lewes, East Sussex. I am partnering with my friend and fellow
Trainer Keith Weir and it promises to be a lot of fun. It would
be great if you could join us.
I love these quotes:-
"We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give." Winston
Churchill.
"Wealth is not how much money you have. Wealth is what you are left with,
if you lose all your money." Roger Hamilton
“You cannot have innovation unless you are willing and
able to move through the unknown and go from curiosity to wonder.” Dawna
Markova
