Feeling Edgy at the Scorpio New Moon?

Feeling Edgy at the Scorpio New Moon?

The reason is simple -Mars (the co-ruler of Scorpio) is at the last degree of Virgo- the sign of perfectionism. When things aren’t going right it’s all too easy to get irritable. Perfectionism creates a huge amount of stress and demands that other people meet our high standards.

I have planets in Virgo, so know this all too well!

At this Scorpio New Moon my advice is simple. Focus instead on Jupiter, the great benefic, bringing ease, joy and grace to this edginess. Relax!

In Vedic astrology the New Moon is in Libra ruled by Venus, and in India the wonderful festival of Diwali -the Hindu Festival of Light- is celebrated at this time. Libra represents trade, so businesses light candles to bring in the light for the year ahead.

Diwali is one of the largest and brightest festivals in India. The festival spiritually signifies the victory of good over evil. It celebrates Laskshmi.

Lakshmi symbolises wealth and prosperity, and her blessings are invoked for a good year ahead.

Lakshmi is believed to roam the earth on Diwali night. On the evening of Diwali, people open their doors and windows to welcome Lakshmi, and place diya lights on their windowsills and balcony ledges to invite her in.

On this day, the mothers who work hard all year, are recognized by the family and she is seen to embody a part of Lakshmi, the good fortune and prosperity of the household.

Small earthenware lamps filled with oil are lighted and placed in rows by some Hindus along the parapets of temples and houses. Some set diyas adrift on rivers and streams. Important relationships and friendships are also recognized during the day, by visiting relatives and friends, exchanging gifts and sweets. Wikipedia

Healing Your Birth Story

My last workshop was deep, powerful and immensely healing for all 8 participants. The theme was exploring the nodes of the Moon, with the energy of the Bodhisattva.

This is from Chuck Spezzano’s Archetype and Shadows book and card set:-

bodhisattvaThe Bodhisattva is a person who has promised not to go to Heaven until the last person has ascended. Bodhisattvas are generous and full of merit.

They work to raise up all of humankind.

Their desire to save humanity from itself leads to compassion and wisdom. Bodhisattvas typically become more spiritual as they get older. They are in service to humanity, helping in any way they can. They may work either inwardly or outwardly to leverage humanity.

The following is the vow of the Bodhisattva:

“Sentient beings are as grains of sand. I vow to save them all.

Deluding passions are endless; I vow to extinguish them all.

The truth is impossible to teach. I vow to teach it.

The way of the Buddha is impossible to attain. I vow to attain it.”

Receiving this Card

If you receive this card, the archetype of the Bodhisattva is rising from the depths of your mind for your own and humanity’s benefit. You are being called to help. You are being called to help save humanity.

You are being called to remember that everyone is saved. In fact, everyone is called to help like this but few choose to listen.

You are choosing to listen as you are being reminded of this ancient promise.

Notice how your heart responds to those around you and how much you want to help others in the most effective way. Your compassion is growing. Your mind is expanding. You are feeling the call.

Heaven will work through you for healing.

With each act of love and service, you are re-bonding the world and moving people to the experience of Oneness.

The light of Heaven shines through you, reminding others of what has true value. Be happy. Be helpful. Share your love. Let Heaven flow through you to others as you embrace the Bodhisattva within.

Above all, know that your remembrance that people are saved brings about this true spiritual perception more quickly.  Chuck Spezzano Phd.

I am holding my next workshop on December 5th/6th in London with a chart that has Venus at the first degree of Scorpio and Pluto rising. This may not mean anything to you, however if the vow of the Bodhisattva calls to you, I invite you to attend.
