The number of the year is 11. This relates to the tarot card of Justice, the balance of Heaven and Earth. Eleven is the number of partnership (it adds to 2), The High Priestess and the Divine Feminine.

2. Astrology of 2009
What the planets are telling us.
The major theme of the Year is the opposition of Saturn in Virgo with Uranus in Pisces. It started on November 4th 2008. In brief it's the old versus the new. Fear versus change. It happened before in the late sixties in the opposite signs. If you are Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius or Pisces this will be affecting you strongly.
Pluto the planet that transforms is now in the earth sign of Capricorn. This is a turning point for all of us. It is asking for us to ground our vision - to take idealistic visions and bring them into organised realities. It is good for the planet as it wants us to clean up our act. It is the sign of business and governments. Those born at the solstices or equinoxes are world leaders. This is a very important time in your life.
Times of great change and the dates they occur. These oppositions, the eclipses, the times when Mercury goes retrograde are all dates that once you are aware of them, you can navigate through.
