Healing Your Heart Day 15: ‘Be’ and ‘Dear Father’

Songs for Healing Your Heart- Vision and Success at a Soul Level

dear fatherSongs for today-‘Be’ and ‘Dear Father’ by Neil Diamond, from the film of the book Jonathan Livingston Seagull.

I love these songs. Both speak to my heart, and the video shows the part of the story where Jonathan is injured, but with the sheer force of will, chooses to fly as best he can, to get Home.

Birds are all symbols of Vision, and this seagull has a mission- he wants to transform his life and fly higher than any other.

In healing numerology, 15 is healing a Soul Heartbreak as it’s a deeper aspect of the number 6, which is the number of the Harvest.

It relates to 1, the self, and 5 the number for transformation.

6 represents maturity, success, sexuality, deep feelings, and the heart of the issue.

A crisis at the age of 6 or 15, relates to the family and would be a deep heartbreak and an unwillingness to mature, being stuck and overwhelmed by deep feelings.

Six in astrology is the sixth house which represents talents and skills, so the ego would create a big trauma to prevent us using our gifts and reaping the harvest in our lives.

We all have soul level gifts, that once we give them, can dramatically shift deep hidden soul patterns.

Vision is a soul gift that lifts us up into the positive future.

Jonathan Livingston Seagull is a metaphorical story about living your purpose.

Plot synopsis.

Jonathan is sick and tired of the boring life in his sea-gull clan. He experiments with new, always more daring flying techniques. Since he doesn’t fit in, the elders expel him from the clan. So he sets out to discover the world beyond the horizon in quest for wisdom.

An outcast, he continues to learn, becoming increasingly pleased with his abilities as he leads an idyllic life.

One day, Jonathan is met by two gulls who take him to a “higher plane of existence” in that there is no heaven but a better world found through perfection of knowledge, where he meets other gulls who love to fly.

He discovers that his sheer tenacity and desire to learn make him “pretty well a one-in-a-million bird.” In this new place, Jonathan befriends the wisest gull, Chiang, who takes him beyond his previous learning, teaching him how to move instantaneously to anywhere else in the Universe. The secret, Chiang says, is to “begin by knowing that you have already arrived.” Not satisfied with his new life, Jonathan returns to Earth to find others like him, to bring them his learning and to spread his love for flight.

His mission is successful, gathering around him others who have been outlawed for not conforming. Ultimately, the very first of his students, Fletcher Lynd Seagull, becomes a teacher in his own right and Jonathan leaves to teach other flocks.

dream‘Be’ Lyrics by Neil Diamond

Lost
On a painted sky
Where the clouds are hung
For the poet’s eye
You may find him
If you may find him
There
On a distant shore
By the wings of dreams
Through an open door
You may know him
If you may

Be
As a page that aches for a word
Which speaks on a theme that is timeless
While the Sun God will make for your day
Sing
As a song in search of a voice that is silent
And the one God will make for your way

And we dance
To a whispered voice
Overheard by the soul
Undertook by the heart
And you may know it
If you may know it

While the sand
Would become the stone
Which begat the spark
Turned to living bone
Holy, holy
Sanctus, sanctus

Be
As a page that aches for a word
Which speaks on a theme that is timeless
While the Sun God will make for your day
Sing
As a song in search of a voice that is silent
And the one God will make for your way

‘Dear Father’ Lyrics by Neil Diamond

Dear Father
Dear Father
We dream
We dream
We dream
While we may
Who are we to need
We need
We need
While we wait
While we wait
