When Venus is 10 degrees ahead of the Sun while still retrograde, it is rising as a Morning Star. This is called the heliacal rise and known as “The Shamanic Overtone.” This relates to the Myth of Inanna Queen of Heaven.
This ancient myth explores the descent of Venus as the Goddess Inanna when she is in the phase as a Morning Star. Then she dies and becomes invisible in the Underworld. She re-appears and we witness her rebirth as an Evening Star when she returns to Heaven.
Venus rose as a Morning Star on June 10 2020 and began a new 19 month cycle, so we are currently in the Shamanic Overtone of Gemini, the Messenger, Writer, Magician and Storyteller.
Venus Portal Opens The Throat Chakra
Venus rose as an Evening Star on May 3rd 2021 at 24 degrees Taurus. This is the return of Inanna to Heaven. Each month when the Moon joins Venus it opens the next chakra.
Gate 1 – Root chakra – The Gate of Manifestation: Regaining her Royal robe 12th May 2021 at 5 Gemini
Gate 5 – Throat chakra – The Gate of Communication: Regaining her necklace. 9th September at 29 Libra
Now on September 10th she opens the Throat Chakra. Mercury rules Gemini and from August 30th to November 5th transits through Libra, ruled by Venus. This is the time to broadcast your message and tell your story so it may inspire others.
When Venus is retrograde she starts a new cycle in only five signs of the Zodiac in a lifetime!
From 1966 through 2047 these are Aries The Warrioress; Scorpio The Sorceress; Gemini The Messenger; Capricorn The Matriarch; Leo The Queen changing to Virgo The Healer.

In Shamanic astrology the cycle of Venus as a Morning and Evening Star connects with the ancient myth of Inanna
Inanna is an ancient Mesopotamian goddess associated with love, beauty, sex, war, justice and political power. Inanna is the Queen of Heaven who descends into the Underworld to visit her sister Ereshkigal to witness the funeral of Ereshkigal’s husband. When she arrives Ereshkigal is furious. This is an act of hubris.
She declares that the upper world goddess has to be treated by the laws of her kingdom, that she be ‘brought naked and bowed low’.
Inanna is stripped of her power and her vestments at 7 Gates and then killed. These 7 Gates connect to the 7 chakras.
