January 18th New Moon in Capricorn
The New Moon is in Capricorn along with Mercury and exalted Mars. It’s on Sunday January 18th at 7.51pm GMT.
The ruler of Capricorn is Saturn currently alongside Neptune both in Pisces.
The theme is one of Completion of Letting Go of 2025 and all the challenges faced and old wounds that surfaced with Chiron a major player in Aries.
The good news is to be aware of Jupiter exalted in Cancer. It shines brightly and is visible in the night sky. As its retrograde its closer to the earth. Jupiter is The Truth Sayer and rules the Law. Use the power of your mind to Pray for Peace and Truth in this beleaguered world.
Set Goals for Success
This is relevant up until the Sun changes sign into Aquarius on Tuesday at 1.45am.
The theme of this New Moon is to set Goals and focus on what you want to achieve. You have the courage of Mars exalted in Capricorn to fight for what you want with commitment to the truth. Be determined to put in the work, the effort and time that it will take to achieve those goals. Handwrite them and keep the list to a maximum of 8 goals or you’ll be scattered. The ego with be strong as the negative side of Capricorn is control, pessimism and fear. Feelings of lack of self worth may be strong, with the Imposter Syndrome rearing its ugly head!
You may feel that you’re stuck and lacking in motivation. This is called the Dead Zone In the Psychology of Vision Model, the area of the mind where we can feel exhausted, enter deep depression and feel a fraud and failure. Old family patterns and Roles we took on as kids can emerge. Its part of the fear of the next step. The way through is to balance the masculine and feminine, and enter partnership with Heaven.

What is so rare is that the Ares point is activated by both Saturn and Neptune forming a rare conjunction on February 20th. This is a major conjunction affecting world events. It last happened in November 1989 in the sign of Capricorn.

- Jupiter stays in its exalted sign of Cancer until 1st July when it enters Leo.
- Saturn enters Aries on 13th February.
- Uranus moves direct on 4th February then re-enters Gemini on 27th April.
- Neptune moves into Aries on 27th January where it stays all year.
- Pluto is now firmly in Aquarius all year.
- The nodal axis and the eclipses will move backward into Aquarius and Leo.
