Capricorn New Moon Time for manifesting
This Capricorn New Moon is the first New Moon of 2024 invoking the archetypal energies of Capricorn/ Father Protector along with Taurus/Jupiter/Adventurer and Teacher.
The Sun is in Capricorn, ruled by Saturn, which gets a bad press. The positive is Mastery. There is a positive flow (a trine) from Saturn in Pisces to this Capricorn New Moon. Working with Saturn entails having goals, a clear plan for the year ahead and putting it down on paper.
Finding Faith and Hope. Jupiter makes a positive contact to Mars in Capricorn
At this New Moon on January 11th 2024 Mars is exalted in Capricorn and trines Jupiter exactly! Time to take positive action.
This is really good! Jupiter softens the effect of the Sun in Capricorn ruled by Saturn. Jupiter makes a sextile to Saturn bringing blessings and hope for the future. Jupiter is called the Great Benefic.
It signifies the start of 2024 as a year when the Teacher/Optimist Archetype can contribute to our well-being. Look upward and to the west to see Jupiter shining in the night sky.
Its a very emotional time as Neptune is also involved
Venus forms a positive trine to Chiron, however Mercury is in a challenging contact with Neptune. Intuition can be strong when focused on the heart but logical Mercury can be confused. If you are sensitive to energy, maybe with a lot of planets in Pisces or Cancer, or strong contacts to Neptune then you may be temped to shut down the news which is full of negativity.

She writes that having a Prayer Life is vital for her and how important is the power of language (Mercury). She asks us to pay attention to the words we use. Is it a crisis or a wake up call-an opportunity?
Mercury is now direct in Sagittarius
The other main news is that Mercury is finally direct. It returns to Capricorn on January 14th. This is the business sign of the zodiac where Mercury can perform well. Planning, having serious goals and intentions is favored. Great for manifesting.

- Mars in Capricorn Moved into Capricorn where it is exalted on January 4th
- Mercury in Sagittarius Moved direct on January 2nd. It returns to Capricorn on January 14th.
- Venus in Sagittarius It is in a mutual reception with Jupiter in Taurus. That’s great news in restoring our faith in love.
- Sun into Aquarius January 20th 2024 along with Pluto in Aquarius
- Full Moon January 25th
- Uranus in Taurus goes direct January 27th
Uranus goes direct on January 22nd, so from then on all planets will be moving forward until the next Mercury retrograde on April 25th.

EARTH SIGNS Jupiter moved into Taurus on May 16th for an entire year
Jupiter the greater benefic is now moving forward at 5 degrees 48 mins. Look where that is in your birth chart. It stationed at 15 degrees Taurus. It moved into Taurus for an entire year on May 16th until May 25th 2024. This is wonderful news for Taurus and Scorpio.
Jupiter is the planet of faith, faith in life, that life is worth living. It takes 12 years to go around the zodiac, so look back 12 years to understand its influence in your chart. It is the biggest planet in our solar system and Jupiter is Zeus, King of the Gods. It brings good luck, expansiveness and the feel good factor. It truly is the planet of abundance, especially now its in the earth sign of Taurus.
Taurus is an earth sign ruled by Venus, and it promotes all activities connected to the earth such as gardening, music, farming, art, material wealth and all good things on the physical plane. It promotes cleaning and using Marie Kondo’s methods of letting go of anything that doesn’t bring you joy. Fellow earth signs Virgo and Capricorn benefit from Jupiter’s gaze. Taurus is also compatible with the emotional water signs of Pisces, Cancer and Scorpio.
EARTH SIGNS Uranus is still retrograde in Taurus activating 23 degrees Taurus to 19 degrees Taurus. Change is what Uranus needs. Work with it. Make some practical changes in your life. Clear out those cupboards!
WATER SIGNS Neptune The Dreamer is now direct. In Pisces it favours all the water signs. Watch your visions and dreams, get creative and meditate. We now have an opportunity to bring our dreams into manifestation. Trust your intuition.
One key word for Neptune is compassion. However it can also indicate illusion, deceit, scandal, loss, drowning, a feeling of being overwhelmed and lost. If you’ve been feeling exhausted, depressed, over-burdened and with little energy then I recommend taking time out and being kind to yourself. Bach Flower remedies such as Elm, Sweet Chestnut and Oak may be helpful. Also for shock Rock Rose or Rescue Remedy.
EARTH SIGNS Pluto is now direct. Pluto is an outer planet and affects world events. It is at an angle to the Nodes of the Moon, so past life stories can be activated if you have a planet at 29 degrees of Capricorn.
However Pluto becomes more personal if it connects with one of inner planets in your chart. These are the Sun, Moon, Mercury Venus and Mars. It is activated at mid-life when it makes a square to itself around the age of 38. It will move into Aquarius from January 22nd until September 2024 when it will retrograde back in Capricorn. However it only transits up to 2 degrees Aquarius so not a major transit.

The astrology of 2024 is an important year as Jupiter joins Uranus in April-A Winning Combination!
Jupiter is a 12 year cycle. It joins Uranus in Taurus on 21st April at 21 degrees Taurus. If it activates your birth chart within 3 degrees it’s a winning combination. Worth a flutter on the lottery!
The nodal axis changed sign in 2023 into Aries North Node and Libra South Node. We need to re-evaluate our relationships to find balance. This axis focuses us on Mars and Venus, the lovers. Control results in power struggles and fights.
Venus -planet of love and money will be direct all year. It is a Morning Star until it disappears in April for approx. 40 days. It joins the Sun on 4th June. Around July 9th it reappears as an Evening Star for the next 7 months.
Mars -the planet of courage and the Warrior energises 9 signs, from late Sagittarius to Leo. It goes retrograde on 6th December 2024 in Leo.
Jupiter -the planet of Great Good Fortune moves quickly through Taurus then enters Gemini 25th May. This is a feel good factor. The earth signs, Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn will benefit up until 25th May, then the air signs, Gemini, Libra and Aquarius will benefit.
Saturn continues in Pisces. In 2024 it moves from 3 degrees to 14 degrees.
Uranus continues in Taurus. Neptune remains in Pisces. Pluto moves into Aquarius. Pluto retrogrades back into Capricorn from 3rd September until 19th November when it finally moves into Aquarius. All three go retrograde every year and can indicate life changing events if they activate a natal planet in your chart.
