Mercury Retrograde is the headline news
The Messenger God Mercury is turning retrograde in Capricorn
Mercury is now retrograde so if you’ve been having technical problems don’t be surprised! I teach that its like driving a car and stopping. Then you reverse so you look behind you. Finally you drive forward. So you get to really see the road. So now over the rest of the month we are all called to review or communications.
Mercury is the Messenger God who can travel into the Underworld at will. The therapist has this ability to explore the unconscious. However he is also The Trickster!
Mercury changes sign back into Sagittarius on December 23rd, so be especially careful on that day. It goes direct on January 1st 2024, just as Jupiter goes forward.
Here’s some advice that I endorse from the Internet:-
- Be clear and concise in your communication.
- Double-check emails, messages, and important documents for errors.
- Avoid making important decisions based solely on verbal communication. Get things in writing when possible.
- Back Up Data: Ensure that your important data, files, and documents are backed up.
- Be Patient: Understand that delays and misunderstandings may occur.
- Practice patience and try not to react impulsively to challenges or frustrations.
- Review and Reflect: Use this time to reflect on your goals and plans.
- Reevaluate your strategies and make adjustments where necessary.
- Consider revisiting past projects or ideas that may need refinement.
- Avoid Signing Contracts: If possible, delay signing important contracts until after Mercury retrograde. Check the small print!
- Stay Grounded: Capricorn is an earth sign, so focus on staying grounded and practical.
- Self-Care: Practice self-care to manage stress and anxiety during this period.
- Reflection and learning. Be open to the lessons or insights that may arise during this period.
Venus is now in Scorpio. It is going over the same territory that Mars went in October/November. It moves into Sagittarius on December 23rd. Watch out to be reminded of old lovers to appear in dreams. Time for some relationship healing. Mars in Sagittarius is still very close to the Sun. This is difficult energy. By the Full Moon on December 27th this will lessen.
Pray for Peace as it will be close to Mercury Retrograde. Each one of us is part of the whole. Each prayer affects the whole. Remember the devastating Indian Ocean Tsunami occurred on December 26, 2004? Uranus had moved into Pisces.
It was triggered by a massive undersea earthquake with a magnitude of approximately 9.1–9.3 off the west coast of northern Sumatra, Indonesia. This earthquake is one of the most powerful ever recorded.
The resulting tsunami affected several countries bordering the Indian Ocean, causing widespread destruction and resulting in significant loss of life.
The event had a profound impact on the affected regions and prompted increased efforts in tsunami warning and detection systems worldwide. In the aftermath of the tsunami, ensuring access to clean water and proper sanitation became crucial to prevent these infections.
The whole world was praying and there was no epidemic of disease as a result.
EARTH SIGNS Jupiter moved into Taurus on May 16th for an entire year
Jupiter the greater benefic is now retrograde so look where that is in your birth chart. It stationed at 15 degrees Taurus. It moved into Taurus for an entire year on May 16th until May 26th 2024. This is wonderful news for Taurus and Scorpio. Jupiter is the planet of faith, faith in life, that life is worth living. It takes 12 years to go around the zodiac, so look back 12 years to understand its influence in your chart. It is the biggest planet in our solar system and Jupiter is Zeus, King of the Gods. It brings good luck, expansiveness and the feel good factor. It truly is the planet of abundance, especially now its in the earth sign of Taurus.
Taurus is an earth sign ruled by Venus, and it promotes all activities connected to the earth such as gardening, music, farming, art, material wealth and all good things on the physical plane. It promotes cleaning and using Marie Kondo’s methods of letting go of anything that doesn’t bring you joy. Taurus is also compatible with the emotional water signs of Pisces, Cancer and Scorpio. Fellow earth signs Virgo and Capricorn also benefit from Jupiter’s gaze.
EARTH SIGNS Uranus is now retrograde in Taurus activating 23 degrees Taurus to 19 degrees Taurus. Change is what Uranus needs. Work with it. Make some practical changes in your life. Clear those cupboards!
WATER SIGNS Neptune The Dreamer is now retrograde. In Pisces it favours all the water signs. Watch your visions and dreams, get creative and meditate. We now have an opportunity to bring our dreams into manifestation. Trust your intuition.
One key word for Neptune is compassion. However it can also indicate illusion, deceit, scandal, loss, drowning, a feeling of being overwhelmed and lost. If you’ve been feeling exhausted, depressed, over-burdened and with little energy then I recommend taking time out and being kind to yourself. Bach Flower remedies such as Elm, Sweet Chestnut and Oak may be helpful. Also for shock Rock Rose or Rescue Remedy.
EARTH SIGNS Pluto is now direct. Pluto is an outer planet and affects world events. It is at an angle to the Nodes of the Moon, so past life stories can be activated if you have a planet at 28 degrees of Capricorn.
However Pluto becomes more personal if it connects with one of inner planets in your chart. These are the Sun, Moon, Mercury Venus and Mars. It is activated at mid-life when it makes a square to itself around the age of 38. It will move into Aquarius next year from January 22nd until September when it will retrograde back in Capricorn. However it only transits up to 2 degrees Aquarius so not a major transit.

The astrology of 2024 is an important year as Jupiter joins Uranus in April-A Winning Combination!
Jupiter is a 12 year cycle. It joins Uranus in Taurus on 21st April at 21 degrees Taurus. If it activates your birth chart within 3 degrees it’s a winning combination. Worth a flutter on the lottery!
The nodal axis changed sign in 2023 into Aries North Node and Libra South Node. We need to re-evaluate our relationships to find balance. This axis focuses us on Mars and Venus, the lovers. Control results in power struggles and fights.
Venus -planet of love and money will be direct all year. It is a Morning Star until it disappears in April for approx. 40 days. It joins the Sun on 4th June. Around July 9th it reappears as an Evening Star for the next 7 months.
Mars -the planet of courage and the Warrior energises 9 signs, from late Sagittarius to Leo. It goes retrograde on 6th December in Leo.
Jupiter -the planet of Great Good Fortune moves quickly through Taurus then enters Gemini 25th May. This is a feel good factor. The earth signs, Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn will benefit up until 25th May, then the air signs, Gemini, Libra and Aquarius will benefit.
Saturn continues in Pisces. In 2024 it moves from 3 degrees to 14 degrees.
Uranus continues in Taurus. Neptune remains in Pisces. Pluto moves into Aquarius. Pluto retrogrades back into Capricorn from 3rd September until 19th November when it finally moves into Aquarius. All three go retrograde every year and can indicate life changing events if they activate a natal planet in your chart.
