Sagittarius is the optimist and teacher, the archer/centaur, half human half horse. Sagittarius corresponds to the thighs in the body where the most powerful muscles are, Sag has to be on the move and to travel long distances.

Constellation and Myth
Sag is the most stunning constellation of the centaur Chiron who was a wise healer and tutor to many Greek heroes. One day he was accidentally wounded in his thigh by one of Hercules arrows which was dipped in the poisonous blood of the Hydra. Because he was half immortal he couldn’t die and also couldn’t heal himself. After suffering a long time he eventually swapped places with Prometheus who had stolen fire to give to mankind and was being tortured by the gods as punishment. Chiron renounced his immortality and willingly went to his death. In acknowledgement of his sacrifice and past service the gods rewarded him by placing him in the heavens as a constellation.
Strengths and weaknesses
Sagittarians are the missionaries, the explorers and lawyers. Their enthusiasm and optimism is unchallenged. They have huge faith and confidence in their abilities. However they can be unstable and over enthusiastic and can drop plans before completion. Their have no malice and are direct and forthright in expressing their ideas. Their desire to influence others and tell them where they are going wrong can come across as opinionated and self righteousness.
