2020 Jan 10th Lunar Eclipse in Cancer

Fear card from ‘The Enlightenment Pack’ by Chuck Spezzano

Eclipses are a time of darkness- of ignorance and fear-the lowest vibration.

This full moon is a lunar eclipse, and in the sign of Cancer emotions are heightened. The eclipse is not a ‘full on’ one, but still significant since it activates Uranus going direct, and the added extreme pressure of Saturn and Pluto close by in Capricorn. In the news the announcement from Prince Harry and Meghan is raising a constitutional crisis about the future of the Monarchy.

At an eclipse the Sun or Moon is in the shadow and in darkness.  This brings up fear and challenges the Ego. This is the small self that resists change because it’s Fear of the unknown.

We may fear taking chances. Safety and security are an issue. We may resist change as well as input from others.

We may find ourselves imprisoned by the world of the five senses, and need to learn to fearlessly confront the possibility of crisis and change in our lives and our relationships.

The stellium in Capricorn increases feelings of wanting to be in control but feeling overwhelmed.

A lunar eclipse has a Libran feel as its a potent super opposition of the Sun and Moon.

It puts a strong focus on relationships, so may indicate the beginning or ending of a marriage or business arrangement.

Or you begin to work in relationships in a very different way. It can bring long term projects and goals to fruition.

It can be a time of major reorganisation and letting go. Interesting that Marie Kondo, author of Tidying Up with Marie Kondo now on Netflix. She has started a huge reaction to her comment that no-one needs to keep more than 30 books!

An eclipse is a spotlight shining on the pathway of your life. It suddenly flashes on and off, so it brings hidden patterns to the surface.

  • Look at the house where 20 degrees of Cancer/Capricorn sits- that house and its opposite are being activated.
  • Q. What have you shoved under the carpet?
  • Q. Will you accept the challenge being offered by the events of the lunar eclipse?
  • Q. Are you willing to make the necessary changes in your life?
  • Q. Are you ready to let go of the past?

To recap, the Solar Eclipse was at 4 degrees Capricorn on December 26th 2019. That degree remains significant for 6 months and is activated at the New Moons in January, February and March.

the starWishing Upon A Star

If you’ve been out after sunset you may have noticed the bright star in the west. It’s the planet Venus, the brightest object in the night sky apart from the Moon. This month is the perfect time to wish upon a star when you see Venus. This is a special time of year since it moves on January 13th into its exalted sign of Pisces. (This only happens once a year) Exalted means it has real power that can lift you up. Venus in Pisces is the highest vibration of love, the most spiritual sign. If you have Venus in Pisces in your birth chart then you may have psychic gifts, a love of music, art, poetry, photography and film.

Manifesting Your Vision

My focus this year is on Manifesting with the Magic of the New Moons.

One vitally important process in my work with clients and workshop participants is healing Core Life Sacrifice Patterns. They block vision and are especially relevant as Neptune moves through Pisces from 2012-2026 approx. It may apply to you if you were born in the sixties as Chiron transited through Pisces back then. You are part of a soul group who have come to be spiritually awakened through healing soul wounds.

Chuck Spezzano writes that the most successful people are visionaries because they follow their intuition. They listen, they see below the surface and understand the process around them. They are modern day shamans.

In this Vision state we can experience more days being in the flow, where our lives unfold naturally with ease. Connecting with the source we can give our gifts, and in that giving we heal ourselves and those around us.

Where are the Planets?

Sun in Capricorn until 20th January when it moves into the air sign of Aquarius.

Full Moon Penumbral Lunar Eclipse 10th January.

First New Moon of the Year in Aquarius 25th January.

Mercury is now in Capricorn until 16th January, then into Aquarius.

Venus is now in Aquarius. Venus will move into her sign of exaltation- the best sign this planet can be in- on 13th January until February 7th. Watch the sky after sunset to see Venus as an Evening Star with the crescent moon on 27th/28th January.

Mars is in its ‘home’ sign of Scorpio from 19th November until 26th January 2020. Mars takes 2 years to travel around the zodiac. In Scorpio it has the courage to see beneath the surface and can delve deep into the unconscious to expose secrets and bust open taboos. It moves into Sagittarius -a fire sign- on 3rd January.

Jupiter in Capricorn for the next 12 months. Time to climb the mountain and make progress step by step. Think how the mountain goat is so agile as it climbs up and you get the idea.

Saturn in Capricorn moved forward on September 18th so plans for any projects that you have had on hold for the last 5 months now have the go ahead. Saturn and the nodes of the moon are now separating. This conjunction has been really tough and heavy over the last 5 months.

Uranus in Taurus is now retrograde and forms an alliance with Jupiter. Make some practical changes in your life and throw out anything that doesn’t bring you joy!

Neptune in Pisces is now direct on 27th November. This favours all the water signs. Watch your visions and dreams, get creative and meditate. I love the meditations with Deepak Chopra as he uses simple sanskrit mantras. See Chopra Center Meditation I like ‘Desire and Destiny’ as its perfect for manifesting.

Pluto in Capricorn went direct on 3rd October. Pluto is an outer planet and affects world events. However it becomes more personal if it connects with one of inner planets in your chart. These are the Sun, Moon, Mercury Venus and Mars. It is activated at mid-life when it makes a square to itself around the age of 38.

Watch my video to find out more. The lunar eclipse falls on Queen Elizabeth’s ascendant where her south node is. No wonder that the surprise announcement of Prince Harry and Meghan to leave the Royal Family is such a shock.
