Dramatic Change at the Scorpio New Moon 2021

diwali and scorpio new moon
The Scorpio New Moon is celebrated as Diwali, the festival of light in India

At this Dramatic Scorpio New Moon Uranus is active

At this Scorpio New Moon on Nov 4th at 09.14pm GMT we experience Uranus in Taurus in an exact opposition to the Sun and Moon.

However, Mars is still close to the Sun, hence the unpredictability of Uranus is heightened. Plus Uranus is retrograde so it’s best not to act on impulse. Grounding is the best way to balance the unsettled energy of Uranus. Saturn in Aquarius is now moving forward to do just that.

But Saturn can feel heavy and can increase our sensitivity to the fear in the world right now.

The way through is to turn to Neptune in Pisces. Neptune is concerned with the crown chakra. This is where we connect with the Divine. This can be accomplished through meditation, with prayer and the soothing effect of music.

Tarot: Uranus The Fool and Neptune The Hanged Man

The Fool in the tarot
Uranus is The Fool in the tarot

In the tarot Uranus is The Fool, Neptune The Hanged Man.

Astrologer Tad Mann writes that The Fool is the eternal child beginning the journey of enlightenment. The meaning is “childlike enthusiasm, awakening perceptions of the world; mental spontaneity leading to either folly or wisdom. Beginning an adventure without considering the consequences.”

His words are perfect at this New Moon.

His affirmation for The Fool. “The truth and radiance of my inner child will guide me through unlimited possibilities as I venture out into the unknown world.”

“The Hanged Man is pure unconsciousness. It offers the secrets of divination and prophecy that lie within the self and through communication with the feminine and unconscious aspects of the self. Wisdom through sacrifice and trials.

His affirmation:-

“I relinquish my attachments and fears in the faith that this sacrifice of invalid patterns will open me up to a new life.”

Looking ahead to the Full Moon on 19th November Neptune in Pisces is strong as it trines Mercury, the Sun and Mars in Scorpio.

The answer is to let go of past patterns that no longer serve and instead open to the power of the Divine and Grace.

A book that I am recommending to all my clients is ‘Intimate Conversations with the Divine- Prayer Guidance and Grace’ by Caroline Myss.

She writes:- “When we pray we ask the Divine to show us how to see, how to speak, how to create. We ask God to reveal, to illuminate the right path for us. ‘God show me how to see this… Then suddenly the word hope arises in you. Or patience. This word, this revelation becomes the most holy word you have. This is the meaning of prayer: a request for help in how to see.”

Aspects

With trines its easy to fall into a sense of well-being and relaxing thereby not doing anything. Trines are passive. Oppositions and squares are active-we have to do something with them. The inconjunct is a letting go aspect, that can be a release moving from one situation to another.

At this Scorpio New Moon there is a challenging T square involving the Sun Moon Saturn and Uranus in the fixed signs.

And just one challenging inconjunct, from Mars in Scorpio to the North Node in Gemini. The nodes represent eclipses and we are now about to enter Eclipse season.

Eclipse Season ahead

In November we start the eclipse season. There will be a partial lunar eclipse on November 19th in Scorpio and then on December 4th a total Solar Eclipse at the New Moon in Sagittarius.

Sun in Scorpio

The Sun moved into Scorpio on October 23rd and Mars moved into Scorpio- the sign it rules on October 30th. The Sun moves into Sagittarius on November 22nd.

Mercury into Scorpio

Mercury is now in Scorpio from November 5th until November 24th. In Scorpio it’s intense and in the sign associated with both Mars and Pluto. It can uncover secrets.

Venus- The Lover

On November 5th Venus moves into the serious sign Capricorn. The Moon contacts Venus on November 8th opening the Crown chakra in Shamanic astrology. Venus will now be in Capricorn until March 5th as it goes retrograde on December 19th.

Mars- The Warrior

Mars is close to the Sun which indicates violence. Mars is now in Scorpio- the sign it rules along with Pluto. It will make a challenging opposition to Uranus in Taurus on November 17th, so watch out for accidents and be extra careful. It moves into Sagittarius on December 13th after the Solar Eclipse on December 4th.

Jupiter: The Explorer/Teacher

Jupiter moved direct on October 18th. Jupiter takes approx. 12 years to travel through the 12 signs. Jupiter rules the Law and it concerned with Truth. Where Jupiter is placed in your chart is where you find your Faith. Jupiter is now direct in Aquarius- The sign of the humanitarian- to give a final boost- the feel good factor- to all air signs- Gemini, Libra and Aquarius. It re-enters Pisces on December 29th. Water signs then benefit-Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces next year until May 10th.  Then again October 29th until December 20th 2022.

Saturn: The Strategist/Authority

Saturn went direct on October 11th. It takes approx. 2 and a half years to go through a sign. It is now in Aquarius, a sign it co-rules with Uranus. The theme of the year is Saturn in a tense relationship (a square) with Uranus. This is the old versus the new. Rebellion and protest marches are seen in the news on a daily basis. Which side are you on?  Do you obey the rules? Or do you revolt?

Neptune: The Dreamer/Visionary

Venus is applying to Neptune making a square aspect. I highly recommend a book by Caroline Myss ‘Intimate Conversations with the Divine-Prayer, Guidance and Grace’. I am opening it at random every day and the synchronicities are amazing! Reading each prayer has become my daily spiritual practice.

Neptune is The Hanged Man in the tarot, the most spiritual card in the deck. Neptune is the place in our birth chart that connects us to our Vision, to the ideal. In Pisces that is the 8th chakra, God the Mother. The colour is magenta, and in Aura-Soma is known as ‘love in the little things’.

Uranus- The Renegade/Awakener

Uranus takes approx 7 years to go through a sign and always brings change/revolution. It is the planet that rules inventions and genius. Its now in Taurus (May 2018-April 2026 approx.) and we are witnessing the alarming news about climate change. Taurus is ruled by Venus, and as it’s an earth sign, we are now concerned with agriculture, our food chain and an awakening to our planet’s resources. In our daily lives Uranus wants to shake thing up. Cut out old wood.

Pluto-The Transformer/Regenerator

Pluto is the slowest moving planet and currently travelling through Capricorn from 2008 until 2024. It is the God of the Underworld and the unconscious. It is assigned to Scorpio who also have Mars as their ruler. The transit of Pluto in Capricorn calls for deconstruction of the establishment and institutions. It went direct on October 7th.

Each sign of the zodiac is connected to one of these archetypes.

Aries: The Warrior, Taurus: The Lover, Gemini: The Storyteller, Cancer: The Mother,
Leo: The Sovereign, Virgo: The Healer, Libra: The Diplomat, Scorpio: The Transformer,
Sagittarius: The Explorer, Capricorn: The Strategist, Aquarius: The Renegade and Pisces: The Dreamer.
