September 24th Balancing Power at the Aries Full Moon
The Autumn Equinox 2018 was on September 23rd at 2.54 BST.
It marks a time of change, a turning point of the year as the Sun moves into Libra and we enter Autumn or Fall as the Americans so aptly call it.
At the equinoxes the Sun crosses the equator, and we have equal day and night. Equinox comes from the Latin “aequus”/equal and “nox”/night.
This is a Gateway and as it’s the 7th sign of the zodiac, we enter a time of year when we surrender into the darkness that awaits us.
We need to find our balance of power as the signs of Libra and Aries are ruled by the planets Venus and Mars- its the opposition and the magnetic attraction of the sexes.
Its prelude to the winter in the Northern hemisphere, and as we watch the leaves falling away and the bare branches beginning to show themselves, we are witnessing the wonder of nature and the essential dying away that leads to the magical chemistry of regeneration.
The Sun and Moon are squaring Saturn
The Sun in Libra is ruled by Venus in Scorpio, and the Moon in Aries is ruled by Mars in Aquarius. They both connect to Saturn in its home sign of Capricorn helping us make the commitment that is vital to bring balance and make positive changes in our lives. This may not be easy since the connection is a square. However this is a dynamic aspect which urges action.
Cardinal signs means Action
It’s important to know that Libra is a cardinal sign, which signifies action, just like the other 3 signs connected to the seasons of the year- Aries, Cancer and Capricorn. As Libra is ruled by Venus, the Goddess of Love, this is always a time of year to look at the quality of our relationships. Libra is the sign of diplomacy seeking peace. However the shadow is the indecision that can come from trying to find the balance and constantly weighing all the outcomes. The answer lies in equilibrium, the still point at the centre. FYI Theresa May is a Sun sign Libra trying to find a solution to Brexit.
This is a time of change, to transform and find balance in our lives.
Libra: Maat Goddess of Truth
In the tarot Libra is the card called Justice. The scales of justice have their origin in Egyptian mythology, where after death, there would take place the Weighing of the Heart.
This is when the dead were judged by Anubis, using a feather, representing Ma’at, the Goddess of Truth and Justice.
She is responsible for maintaining order in the Universe, and the heart was the seat of the life-spirit.
Hearts heavier or lighter than the feather of Ma’at were rejected and eaten by Ammit, the Devourer of Souls.
So this is a month to lighten your heart.
Venus is now in Scorpio for 2 months until 1st November.
As I wrote 2 weeks ago, the month ahead bodes well for those who are Sun sign, ascendant or Moon in Scorpio, right up until Jupiter changes sign into Sagittarius on November 8th.
For everyone its a good idea to call on your inner Warrior/Warrioress within to protect your territory and learn the lessons that Saturn wants to teach us.
- Sun in Libra until October 23rd.
- Full Moon September 25th at 03.52am BST . 2 degrees Aries/Libra
- Pluto in Capricorn goes direct on October 1st.
- Venus goes retrograde on October 5th at 10 degrees Scorpio
- New Moon in Libra on October 9th at 3.47am BST at 15 degrees Libra
- Mercury in Libra until October 10th. Then it moves into Scorpio on October 31st.
- Venus in Scorpio from September 9th-November 1st. Then returns back into Libra.

- Saturn in Capricorn turned direct September 6th so is the energy to connect with. Saturn rules karma. It is work, our labour and commitment that brings the greatest reward because we have earnt it through our efforts.

In need of personal emotional and spiritual support?
If you have any planet around 2 degrees then this Full Moon will be activating it. You could be undergoing some significant relationship issues in your life as Venus makes an opposition to Uranus 3 times. There could be a strong desire to break free and go off on your own. I can support and guide you in this process.
This is an ideal time for a consultation. See this page for more information>

MY BEST SELLER: Karmic Insight Astrology Report to Buy
The Karmic Insight report provides an in-depth look into the soul’s intentions and lessons to be learned in this lifetime.
Gina Ronco interprets the past life reverberations shown in the natal chart. The report clarifies lessons and goals recreated from the past for resolution in this life.
This succinct report concentrates on the planets that are most involved with karmic lessons.
- The Moon carries unresolved past-life issues
- The Sun represents the creative thrust of this life
- Saturn, sometimes referred to as the planet of karma, shows your energetic blockages, weaknesses and fears.
It points to the areas of your life where the most concentrated effort and discipline will be required. If you do the work these will become your areas of greatest strength.
The Karmic insight report also discusses struggles (major hard aspects) and gifts and strengths (major soft aspects) brought forward from past lives.
If you are going through your Saturn return (age 28-31 years, or 55-58 years) then this report is especially useful. Every 7 years Saturn will be triggered, so key ages in your life are 7, 14, 21 and 28, then multiples of 7 thereafter.
